I hope you have all enjoyed a good summer break despite the frequent showers – at least there were the Olympics to watch!

This newsletter is to remind you of the events taking place for the rest of 2012 and to tell you about some of the changes to those events.

We had a very busy and enjoyable visit to Ploudalmézeau at the end of May where we were made very welcome by our French hosts to celebrate 35 years of twinning and we look forward to reciprocating their hospitality in 2013.  The suggested dates are Wednesday 8th (evening arrival) to Sunday 12th May.

I have been in contact with Tim Duxbury, manager of The Hayridge (Cullompton library) who is delighted to house our twinning gifts.

The Hayridge offers flexible accommodation and we have decided to run our next event there instead of the Town Hall.  This will now be a Race Night with supper on Friday 7th September at 7.30 pm.  There is limited parking at the back of the Hayridge for committee members who are organising food.  There is also some parking alongside the library.  (The Magistrates  Court car park has yet to be completed.)  A Committee member will greet you on arrival and show you to the lift or stairs to the first floor.  We hope that this will be as successful an evening as our other events have been this year and would be grateful if you could contact  Dave or myself by 1st September if you are able to come.
